General Guidelines for Good Answers

Good answers are brief, but include enough detail and specific information or evidence to support your claims. If you make a general statement, substantiate it with examples or measurements (where appropriate).

Example : Our company is the best widget producer in the country.

Better example : Our company has increased market share by 2% per year for the last five years, while reducing costs by 5% and reducing customer claims or returns by 10%. No other company in our industry has increased market share during the same time period.

Example : We provide the best amenities for our hotel guests.

Better example : Our guests are greeted with one of our specialty brownies. Room amenities include robes, slippers, glycerin soap, body lotion, cotton balls, cotton swabs, shoeshine cloths and shower caps.

Example : Our company is great at customer service.

Better example : Our company has the highest customer satisfaction rating in the industry (see article on our website at www.example.com/custsatisfaction).
